I am trying to fit some APC modelling on population cancer incidence rate data
for Malta. However since, firstly, Malta being a small country, and, secondly,
cancer tends to occur more in particular age groups, I am getting a number of
zero counts and rates.
I'm wondering on which is the best way to deal with these zero counts, because,
in some of the rarer cancers (such as female lung Ca) I cannot just drop the
younger age groups because I have at least a single zero count in all age groups.
Any help please?
Thanks
Neville
