LONDON SCHOOL OF HYGIENE AND TROPICAL MEDICINE GATES MALARIA PARTNERSHIP STATISTICIAN (Ref: BG-STAT) The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine was awarded a US$40m grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in July 2000, to further its work on malaria by setting up the Gates Malaria Partnership. We are seeking to appoint a Statistician for the Gates Malaria Partnership to support the research activities of the Partnership. The person we wish to appoint must have practical experience as a statistician, of handling large and complex datasets, be familiar with statistical software and data management packages using personal computers, be able to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary scientific team, and be willing to travel to field sites in Africa for several weeks to collaborate in research projects. The Statistician will be appointed on a two year contract as a Research Fellow 1A/Lecturer A or B (salary range £21,706-£37,649) according to skills and experience.
