Role - To lead and manage a complex multi-site health services research
project, working on several aspects of the blood supply on the island
of Ireland. You will be responsible for project management and the day
to day delivery of our aims.
Project - We have received funding from several sources to do a large
study of the blood supply in Ireland, North and South. There are three
elements to the project. The first is a quantitative study of blood
supply and utilisation, using operations research models and ideas form
supply chain management. The second is a detailed study of donor
behaviour. The third is a qualitative study of donor motivations and
attitudes, and a parallel study in people who are not blood donors, but
who could be.
Requirements - You will be able to organize and motivate a small team of
academics and post-graduates working between Dublin and Belfast. You
will have high level organizational and project management skills. You
could have an academic background with a PhD, possibly in social
sciences, geography or business, or you could have a strong background
in project management in the commercial, public, voluntary or industrial
sectors.
Salary: ¤34,000 (plus annual review)
