University of Edinburgh - Public Health Sciences - Post Reference 3000572
Applications are invited for the part-time (28 hours per week) post of Medical Statistician. The primary role is to work on an international project funded by the US National Institutes of Health which aims to look at ways of improving the design and analysis of clinical trials in head injury. Applicants should be at the post-doctoral level and ideally have experience in clinical trials and/or prognostic modelling. The post is on the AR2 grade (Salary scale £20,361 p.a. to £26,943 p.a. for 28 hours per week). It is conceivable that the post could be made up to full-time by including work on other projects, and so applications from individuals only interested in a full-time post can also be considered.
Further particulars for the post together with details of the online application procedure can be found at www.jobs.ed.ac.uk. Please note that the closing date is 14th November and the interview date will be 21st November.
Informal enquries can be made in confidence to Professor Gordon Murray, who is leading the Edinburgh-based part of the project (0131 650 3233 or [log in to unmask]).
