The deadline for the submission of abstracts for the Royal Statistical Society's International Conference in 2003 on Statistical Genetics and Bioinformatics has been extended to 14 February 2003.
Contributed papers and posters are sought on any of the following topics or any other related statistical topic:
Statistical genetics:
- Mapping genes for complex traits: SNPs, haplotype analyses
- Gene-gene and gene-environment interactions
- Genetic epidemiology
- Population genetics
Bioinformatics:
- HMMs for sequence analysis
- Stochastic grammars
- Genome annotation
- Comparative genomics
- Protein and RNA sequence and structure
- Gene networks/metabolic pathways
Gene expression:
- CDNA, short and long-oligo microarrays
- SAGE
- RT-PCR
Other:
- Graphs and graphical methods in genetics and bioinformatics

Contributors should note that there are a limited number of contributed paper slots available. There will however be an opportunity for authors to give a short presentation on their posters.
