Hello everyone,
I would really appreciate some help with interpretation of the odds ratio
information on the output of the logistic regression.
I have a binary dependent variable (A:1-success;0-failure) and a ordinal
five-level independent variable (B; values are 1,2,3,4,5). When I run
logistic regression in SAS I get a value for the point estimate of the odds
ratio. Suppose it is 2. Can I interpret it as the following: when variable B
increases by one unit (in this case by 1, regardless of the fact that
increase is from 2 to 3 or 4 to 5) the odds of success become two times
higher then the odds of failure?
Thank you in advance for your help. Regina
