Dear All,
I have data concerning the ratings (of employees in a firm) made by supervisors in all departments. It is found that sometimes a supervisor is too strict and sometimes too lenient causing underrating and overrating respectively. I would like to know if there is a statistical procedure whereby I can eliminate, to a good extent, any leniency and/or harshness contamination in the data. If possible, can you please give me website address where there is a discussion on this subject (where they actually give an example of what is to be done)? Otherwise, can anybody give me some advice? Thanks a million for your kindness.
PS I have only two days for thinking about the correct strategy so that giving me the title of a book would not be of great help. Here, in Mauritius, it is
extremely difficult to get hold of tertiary-level books. The only way is to order them through the Internet. Thanks again!
Leave no word of discomfort,
Leave no observer to mourn,
But climb on your tears and remain silent
Like the rose on its ladder of thorns.
