This project offers an exciting opportunity to join a
leading team in health services research, funded by
Dr Foster Ltd and based in the Department of
Epidemiology and Public Health:

database manager to take responsibility for the
operational efficiency of large health databases
including linkage of data from various sources.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant MSc or PhD in
computing, a strong interest in public health research
evidenced by a relevant track record, and experience
in SAS, Windows NT, backup/recovery routines, and
programming skills in a structured programming
language. Preferably you will also have used Unix,
C/C++, Java, Visual Basic, Oracle and Excel. This
appointment is for two years in the first instance.
Starting salary inclusive of London Allowance will be
on the ORS2 scale in the range £21,125 to £27,339
plus £2,134 London Allowance.
