Course: Sources of Routinely Collected Data for Research

The course is largely concerned with highlighting sources of routine
data that are potentially of use in health research. Some aspects of
data quality will be discussed and examples of uses of routine
data will be presented. The course will cover access and content of the
following souces of data:
i. Census
ii. Mortality data
iii. Hospital activity data
iv. GP morbidity data
v. Cancer registry data
All the short courses at the Department of Social Medicine are
