I have a detailed description of the end-10% of the right tail in a
distribution; i.e. including information on the size of the population.
Using that information, combined with a distributional assumption, I want to
be able to describe the whole distribution through some form of estimation.
Regrettably, I do not know this technique.
Any reference(s) to papers or books covering this topic will be much
appreciated. Pls use [log in to unmask] for your answer.
