Christine Currie (Southampton)
Epidemiological modelling of TB and HIV: use of a compartmental
model to advise the World Health Organisation on the best
methods of controlling TB in the face of a severe HIV epidemic.
As well as discussing the model and the results of the work, I will
discuss Bayesian methods and variance reduction techniques and
how these have been used to provide estimates of the uncertainty
on outputs of the modelling.
