Title: The impact of poor reporting on meta-analysis of prognostic marker
studies and evidence-based practice
By: RICHARD D. RILEY (University of Leicester)
Abstract:
Prognostic markers are important tools in clinical practice. However, we
will show how meta-analysis and evidence-based use of such factors is
severely limited by poor and heterogeneous reporting in primary studies. We
also discuss methodological challenges when presented with such problems,
and the benefits of having individual patient data available.
