Medical Statistician/Epidemiologist

We are re-advertising this post and hope to appoint a suitable candidate in
the autumn.
We are seeking an applied medical statistician/epidemiologist to join a
dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working on large-scale research into the
molecular and genetic causes of heart attacks. The main focus is on the
analysis of large epidemiological datasets, and meta-analyses. As well as
the application of statistical methods, the role will involve literature
searches and some data management.
The post is based at the University of Cambridge Department of Public Health
and Primary Care, a 5* RAE rated research department with a broad range of
research in the fields of public health and epidemiology.
You should possess a relevant first degree or postgraduate qualification
with a high statistical content, and have an understanding of
epidemiological research methods.
Starting salary will be on the Research Assistant/Research Associate scale,
from £18,265 to £22,191 (pay award pending). The post will be for 3 years
initially.
