LECTURER (Two Posts)

Salary Range: £24,325 to £35,813 (pay award pending)
Applications are invited for two career-track appointments of
lecturer in the Department of Statistics to commence in October
2003 or thereafter. Candidates should have a PhD, or equivalent
experience, in statistics, mathematics or a related field. A
research background in probability, stochastics, mathematical
finance or statistical modelling applied to finance will be an
advantage. The Department runs a large actuarial science degree
and is preparing for the launch of a new MSc in Risk and
Stochastics in October 2004. The successful candidates would be
expected to assist the MSc programme director, Professor Ragnar
Norberg, in the development of this new degree, to be involved
with the teaching of actuarial subjects, and also to contribute to
the research of the Department.
