> The Statistical Centre at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is seeking an experienced biostatistician with expertise in the design and analysis of clinical trials. The Statistical Centre is one of Australia> '> s leading biostatistical centres and is staffed by six statisticians and eight data managers. The Centre is involved in the design, coordination and analysis of multi-centre and in-house cancer clinical trials and other cancer-related studies, and undertakes outside work on a contract basis.
> Applicants should have a postgraduate degree, preferably a PhD, in statistics and be an accredited statistician (AStat) or clearly meet the criteria for accreditation. Experience in the design and analysis of clinical trials is highly desirable. The applicant should be a skilled consultant, have an interest and ability in research into statistical aspects of clinical trials, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational skills. An understanding of oncology is desirable. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
