HE in FE Project Fund
The ADC-LTSN is pleased to invite proposals for research projects to
develop and promote delivery of HE programmes in FE institutions. Given the
extent of FE delivery of HE courses in art, design and
communication, little research has been conducted in this area and
knowledge of the distinctive needs and concerns of those learning and
teaching in this context is lacking.
The HE in FE Project Fund is designed to help promote the use of
effective learning and teaching activities in Art, Design and
Communication, and to encourage teachers from the FE context to develop an
understanding of HE learner needs and outcomes in order to improve their
learning experience.
In particular, we wish to develop support for, and understanding of,
the following areas:
* Foundation Degrees
* Work based learning
* Widening participation
* Retention strategies
Funding from £200 to £3,000 is available for each project.
Projects should aim to bring into wider use exemplary or innovative
techniques, methods or materials already developed for local use within
departments. Smaller amounts of funding are also available to enable
networking and knowledge brokerage within the sector.
For example, through visiting other institutions to share good
practice, forming a regional network, or organising a staff away day to
consider relevant issues. Fuller details of the project fund are
contained in the proposal form which can be obtained:
