Has anyone come up against any difficulties relating to standards for
crossfalls? Looking at BS 8300 it states (p.12) that the gradient should
not exceed 1:50, except when associated with a dropped kerb. We haven't
formally adopted the BS, but are encouraging staff to implement its
standards. Crossfalls are continually being put in much steeper with the
engineers arguing about drainage requirements.
Any comments on your experiences with this issue would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Rebecca
