All,
I think there may be an initial amount of work while tailoring our software
to the different brands of Linux (libraries and files in different places).
After that, then as long as the source and changes required are in CVS, then
the work distributed over all of us would be minimal. Only at release time
would things get complicated, but with a branch and good communication it
shouldn't be a problem. Once I have binaries for the different Linux brands,
producing a generic CD structure for all would be simple.
The only things that would take time are user support and sys admin. Help
would always be available for sys admin on the starman mailing list. We also
have to ask our selves if the majority of the user support problems are
system specific or general problems with the software.
Steve.

Hmmm.... all depends how much time was involved. I'm already finding it
difficult to find sufficient coding time given the flood of IVOA mailings
to be assimilated!
