All,
There appears to be a problem with building the CVS. Randomly the nightly
build fails on Javadocs, or rather the build just stalls with java processes
still running. I think we have had this problem before at the last release.
The point at which the build stalled last night was in the install target:
[loggedcopy] Copying 397 files to /apps/cvsbuild/star/docs
[echo] Executing UTIL target: install
prepare:
check_packages:
build:
jars:
[mkdir] Created dir: /apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/lib/util
[jar] Building jar: /apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/lib/util/util.jar
[zip] Building zip:
/apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/lib/util/util_src.zip
javadoc_check:
javadocs:
dist:
[mkdir] Created dir: /apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/bin
[mkdir] Created dir: /apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/etc
[copy] Copying 2 files to /apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/bin
[copy] Copying 1 file to /apps/cvsbuild/java/source/util/etc
Another useful bit of info on the nightly build; Brian has found it useful
anyway. All the built files from the cvs nightly build can be found in
/apps/cvsbuild on saturn. The export-ddmmyy directories contain the build of
previous night. The files starjava-cvs-ddmmyy.tar.gz contain a full cvs
checkout. When the full nightly build is complete, then these files will be
put on the Web automatically.
Steve.
