I'm not completely sure what you mean here. Do you mean converting
./mk-style makefiles to autotool-generated ones? Or are you talking
about just dumping all of the current code into the repository?
The former I hope will happen as we put things into the repository
piecemeal, and which should be easier once I work out a stable recipe
for doing this, and document it. I don't believe the latter would work,
or at least I doubt it would be significantly less work than putting
each package in one-by-one.
At least part of what I would do in producing such a recipe would be
thinking about how to organise the `make world' at the top.
Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?
