**** APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING ****
Dear colleagues,
The isNTO Board have agreed to become a Partner in a proposal for a Lifelong
Learning Sector Skills Council, also including HE, FE and Community Learning
& Development. We see this as a natural progression from our previous
proposal for an Information & Learning Communities Skills Council, on which
we consulted you recently.
We believe it is most imperative for our Sector to find an appropriate place
in a strong SSC. This proposed SSC will have significant influence with -
and funding from - the UK Governments to enable us to properly address the
skills and workforce development issues facing the world of information
work.
We are now writing to remind you that this consultation, which ends on 27th
June and and encourage you to respond if you have not already done so. Even
if you have responded to our earlier consultations you still need to respond
positively to this specific proposal, to help us bring it about.
The short Consultative Questionnaire together with more detailed background
documents are at www.isnto.org.uk/news <http://www.isnto.org.uk/news>
Please respond now - this is too good an opportunity to miss. If you have
any queries, phone John Pluse on 07977 064413 at any time.
With kind regards
John M Pluse Martyn Wade
