HarperCollins Publishers, one of the UK’s largest publishes, is recruiting
a Business Development Manager to be a key member of the World Mapping and
Data Team, within the Collins Reference division. The key focus of this
post will be to drive new revenue opportunities for the World and European
mapping and data business.
We require a dynamic and creative sales manager with a proven track record
of developing market opportunities and driving profitable growth. Ideally
you will have experience of the cartographic market at a global level. You
will also be commercially driven, a team player who thrives on challenges
and highly market orientated. In addition, you should possess excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to inspire and enthuse
both colleagues and customers alike.
This new position, reporting to the Technical Services Director, is based
in our office in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow and has responsibility for a small
team of two sales staff. The post holder will work closely with the
Collins Sales and Marketing team based in Hammersmith, London, playing a
key role in this group.
You will be qualified to degree standard with a minimum of 5 years
experience in sales and marketing in a related field. Experience of
geographical data and custom mapping sales would be preferable.
