The PC Products Group, operating within the Marketing Solutions Division,
has a vacancy for a HELPLINE AND REPORTING ANALYST.
The PC Products Group builds systems and databases for many of the major
retailers, financial service organisations and utilities, mainly using our
own GIS, InSite.
InSite is designed for use by marketers utilising such data as the Census,
ACORN and many of the other demographic databases held by CACI plus their
own data, to analyse customers, catchment areas and market potential. We
also operate a telephone helpline for our clients.
The Role
All our InSite users have access to the helpline, which is open during
office hours. We are looking for someone to join the helpline team who has
the technical and problem-solving ability to match the users telephone
requests to the best solution. In addition this role will involve database
building of client systems and a regular automotive-focused analysis &
reporting cycle.
This is a diverse role and although focusing upon these three elements
there will also be opportunities for beta testing new software releases and
documentation.
Requirements
This role is not just another technical helpline. Our clients are business-
focused, and as such you will need both technical/numeracy skills and
business acumen, together with the lateral-thinking ability to be able to
apply both sets of skills. You should have a good understanding of database
concepts and be comfortable with talking to clients on the telephone.
Although not essential, VBA skills would be useful. This role would suit a
new graduate so helpline experience is not necessary.
