Has anyone actually tried running starlink on a debian box? Are there
glibc issues or does it just work?

Subject: xoracdr on Debian Linux
Hi Tim,
I have been trying to install oracdr on my Debian linux machine for
about 2 months now...to no avail. The biggest problem I seem to be
having is with Perl. I don't seem to be allowed to install the package
without the STARLINK Perl directory (it complains at me that I need
STARLINk Perl when I do so). And, once installed with the STARLINK
Perl, it complains that
the binaries are not executable. So I have spent a lot of time trying
to excise every reference to /star/Perl/... in the scripts and point it
to my native version of Perl. It STILL doesn't work!!
You wouldn't happen to have a copy of xoracdr for Debian lying around
would you?
Thanks,
R
PS - On another note I just installed the observing tool and it seems
to work fine!
