Tim,

The file you need to input into the system is given by the makefile
export_source target, but uncompressed and no version numbers, just the
packagename.tar file.
I need to add a script to the build system to extract software/documentation
version numbers and news files. This info will be included on the CD and the
web.
Very little has changed from the summer software version,
HTX - updated
KAPPA - updated
SLALIB - updated
and a makefile change for FIGARO. Also, it is a full rebuild.
For the moment it does not contain STARJAVA or the JDK, but the nightly
build of STARJAVA is available from http://dev.starlink.ac.uk. I was
contemplating contacting Sun to see if we can distribute the JDK.
I will also mirror the /classic directory on the Solaris system, so a
/stardev ISO will be available for that system too.
Steve.

Excellent.

Is there a web page that lists all the version numbers of the packages? We
need a dev system linked against David's latest AST library and I was
wondering whether that is in the system yet.

What's the reasoning for releasing the dev CD officially? Every previous
time a CD has been released it's been derived from the dev system (and
usually is newer than the dev system).
Is there a timescale for the next CD yet?
I've heard rumours of another programmer's meeting in the new year. Is
that at RAL? Will it be possible for some of it to happen over a videocon
to Hawaii so that Brad and I will be able to attend?
