the Events Assistant advertised a month or so ago - just in case anyone was
thinking our staff turnover rates are high!
Events Assistant - (Grade 2 - £16,910 - 19,575 p.a.)
The Royal Institution (Ri), famous for its televised Christmas lectures, is
continuing its 200 years of scientific communication with a major expansion
of its events programme. To deliver this exciting new range of events, we
are seeking to appoint a key person within the Events Team.
Primary duties will be to process bookings and provide administrative
support. You will maintain the events database, and assist with event
logistics, marketing and evaluation. Applicants should be educated to degree
level or equivalent, have administrative experience, including knowledge of
Microsoft Office and databases. Experience in events organisation and
knowledge of science would be advantageous.
The post will require excellent organisational and communication skills, a
quickness to learn and an innovative outlook. Above all, the ideal candidate
will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed to the development of an
outstanding events programme.
