The Summer Science Exhibition is the Royal Society's largest public event of the year attracting people from many sectors including scientists and policy makers, MPs and VIPs, schoolchildren and their teachers, interested general public and the media. The Exhibition makes a significant contribution to the Society's work in encouraging public understanding of science and promoting science education.
Why Exhibit?
The Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition is hard work; but it is also great fun and it's an amazing opportunity to spend a week exhibiting your research at a fantastic location in central London.
Other reasons to exhibit:
* raise the profile of your research with senior scientists, industrialists, government and the media;
* enhance your communication skills by discussing your research and its potential applications with a variety of visitors ranging from school children to Nobel Prize Laureates;
* network with other research teams from across the country
The emphasis is on interactive and hands-on Exhibits that will enthuse the general public about your research and science.
The 2004 Summer Science Exhibition takes place on 6-8 July. If you would like to propose an exhibit please fill in the online form at www.royalsoc.ac.uk/forms or contact [log in to unmask] Deadlines for proposals are Monday 3 November 2003.
Inspirational ideas for your potential exhibit can be found at www.sc1.ac.uk contains details of all exhibits from the 2003, 2002 and 2001 Exhibitions.
