I had to type up an electronic copy of this old queer poem so thought I
may as well send it of to the poetry-etc list.

best wishes

Chris Jones.

(Interesting discussions on the list, I should add and reading with
delight... not the best health right now and a bit busy, that's
all... and a cryptic note... Felix isn't the only one with a tool box.)

LOOSE WHITE TEE SHIRTS

Loose white tee shirts
        docs
                501s
going to a party or a pub.

Dilute blood from meat
        soiled the breadboard
when you wanted
        tahini and honey on toast.

Tomorrow, remember to ring the vet
        and inquire about
                a sex realignment
for a teenage ginger tom.

Silver lamé
        chamois
                mosquito netting
make impractical hankies

        It was Friday night
we were at the bus shelter together
you wore silver lamé chamois mosquito netting
                and it was raining.

That night in Coogee over a year ago
        said your name was Allen
the situation is different now
                please write    reply refunded;

        Hi Peter        I'll never forget
those nights together
        after coffee in Kellet Street
                                John.

                Tall slim shy cute
        21 year old
who likes reading raging and camping
seeks famous bike riding outdoor type;

Wanted
        Silver lamé
        chamois
        mosquito netting.

                        Lean on the wall
                light a joint
        that always attracts
hope someone will get your next drink

                Too stoned to know
        you're being cruised
melt into the wall
        and watch

                Some cruise through the bar
        gaze
hope for eyes
in the disco light

                Fifty dollars for a fuck
in some deserted industrial parking lot
        with a baby seat
in the back seat;

                Amphetamines take you on
        to the club
then the bus home
        in the morning

                With blue ringed eyes
        recovery time
                still you wonder
is Prince Eddie gay.

        *       *       *

                We ate a place
        where the cocktail
cost more
        then the meal

                Drinking
        a Japanese shoe
with hamburger
        and chips

                I shared his room
        with Morrisey
Rock Hudson
        and James Dean

                We promised each other
together we'd work through
        the Joy of Gay Sex
from beginning to end.

                        It starts with A
                for arse
        and B
well that comes next;

        Are you still disappointed
that we passed over
        that section
        in F?

                So you brought a sling
        one that comes complete
with a handy man
                to erect it

                Loose white tee shirts
                        docs and 501s.

        *       *       *

        Mid March is nice at home
                sitting quietly
                        smoking
                welcome autumn

                        Sundays with
        valium
matinis and lemonade
                too much dope;

                Sharp steel     bevel up
slips under the skin
        the vein resists slightly
                a lover goes down on the horse.

                        Wrapped in a wet blanket
        electric        connected
                switched on
                        he goes.

        Are you the only one
                that's angry
the quenched fire
                we shiver from cold;

Left to
        stare at
                hit at
climb inside the walls;

        Loose white tee shirts
                docs and 501s.

                        Remembering that attempt
                to cut his hair mo-hawk style
        for the party
with him meeting his mother on Monday;

                I went blonde
and on Monday
        the secretary asked
                is there a rinse in your hair?

                Batman and Robin embraced
        kissed passionately
the master had his
        tit clamps stolen.

                        The other bar costs more
                is quieter
        sometimes
a table becomes vacant

                        Loose white tee shirts
                                docs
                                        501s.
