The Public Lending Rights program here in Canada is fantastic. (Especially since I'm always
surprised when the cheque arrives!) A random survey is done of a dozen libraries across the country --
university, public, National -- and each time one of your books turns up, you get a set amount of money
(in the range of $30 to $40). So 10 "hits" means approx. $300 to $400.
I certainly take in more money through PLR than I do in royalties!
