Just to address this single point - are you suggesting that because you
write appreciatively about someone, that person is somehow thereby obliged
only to think well of you thereafter? (The b/c / f/c confusion is distinct,
and not referred to in this quote.) I can see no other reasonable
interpretation of what you say here - otherwise it's at best irrelevant -
and it strikes me as exemplary of passive aggression in action: you
represent yourself as hard-done-by but yet magnanimous. If I felt my future
responses to your behaviour were to be bound in this way, I'd be very
reluctant to receive your praise.
