No, not at all like giving birth, Dave, having had experience of
both: giving birth involves high levels of pain and sheer physical
work, and uses all the muscles of the abdomen, not to say the body,
not just the process of peristalsis. A baby is not a waste product.
Or a bomb. A cunt is not an anus. And despite the freedom which
must be given poetries (I do not dispute your right to write this) I
wonder that this particular metaphor has occurred to you, in relation
to violence and guilt.
