First International Conceptual Effects Brain-Finger Mapping System
Conference
28 to 29 July 2003, New York, United States
This 2-day conference will feature sessions on the Conceptual
Effects Brain-Finger Mapping System (CEBFMS) and on
interdisciplinary topics related to CEBFMS. There will be a series of
interactive workshops designed to address the concerns of
occupational health professionals, cognitive neuroscience
researchers, educators, and general healthcare professionals.
The Conceptual Effects Brain-Finger Mapping System (CEBFMS) is a
new approach to learning and assessment, based on neuroscience
research and computational theories. The instructional framework
which forms the basis of the CEBFMS system is useful in both
medical and educational spheres. In medical settings it can be used
to help individuals who are cognitively impaired from severe
traumatic brain injuries, stroke, post-polio, epilepsy, and the like. In
educational settings it is leading to radical improvements in
instructional methods.
This conference is ideal for those who are particularly concerned
with issues of cognitive neuroscience processing operations, as
they pertain to training and to mental and physical disorders. The
conference will also appeal to corporate and government agencies
interested in learning about how the brain works.
Topics include:
* The development of cognitive processes
* Neuroscience: Functional imaging technologies and cognitive
processing operations
* Cognitive Science: Problems of cognitive processing operations
models
* Mental and physical aspects of the brain
* Hand-finger movement disorders
* Carpal tunnel syndrome and the brain
* Medical solutions to carpal tunnel syndrome
* Theoretical framework of the Conceptual Effects Brain-Finger
Mapping System (CEBFMS) and how it deals with hand-finger
movement disorders
* Proposed solutions to the development of cognitive processes
problem
