The Coblentz Prize is awarded each year at the OSU
International Symposium for Molecular Spectroscopy to a young
spectroscopist specializing in vibrational spectroscopy. The award
is supported and administered by the Coblentz Society and carries
with it a $2000 prize. If you or your colleagues are award of
potential candidates or have nominations to submit, it is important
to send this information to the Coblentz Society as soon as
possible.
This year the close for nominations is October 31.
Nomination packages for candidates, under the age of 36 on
January 1 of 2004 and having demonstrated excellence in research
in spectroscopy, require a letter of nomination, a curriculum vita of
the candidate and brief letters (typically 3) of support from
recognized professionals in the field. Nomination packages may be
