Dear Vanessa
I'm replying with info from a dim and distant experience of supplying items
on an IFLA form. Our (admittedly limited) experience was that the trouble
involved with claiming our costs far outweighed any eventual payment, as any
request we are likely to supply via IFLA is most likely to be a one-off, we
are unlikely to need a reciprocal arrangement. We have since said that we
won't supply overseas loans (though we have on occasion supplied brief
p/copies without charge). To be honest,

Subject: IFLA REQUEST QUERY
Hello,
I was wondering if someone out there could help me.
I have just received an I.F.L.A. Request Form. I have phoned the British
Library for guidance on how to claim for this request. They informed me that
they do not deal with IFLA requests and that any requests satisfied would be
done on a reciprocal basis. i.e. if we lend we do not get any compensation
but we could borrow off of them for no charge.
Is this true? Has anyone out there dealt with IFLA requests that could
advise me?
Thank You,
Vanessa Bedford
