I have no experience of Hays but what annoys me about contacting Royal
Mail about missing parcels is that their reaction is just "fill in a
claim - we'll compensate you". What they should be doing is attempting
to trace the parcel - the compensation may replace the cost of the book
but sometimes the book itself cannot be replaced.
