Hi All,
Since our RB is now back in actionagain, I've been puzzling over a regular
set of messages in its /var/log/messages:
Nov 25 14:12:17 lcgrb01 edg-wl-renewd[15102]: Received command code 2 for
proxy (unspecified)
Nov 25 14:12:17 lcgrb01 edg-wl-renewd[15102]: Requested proxy is not registered
Nov 25 14:12:36 lcgrb01 edg-wl-renewd[15102]: Received command code 3 for
proxy (unspecified)
Nov 25 14:12:36 lcgrb01 edg-wl-renewd[15102]: Requested proxy is not registered
These occur every minute or so.
Applying strace, it appears that the edg-wl-renewd demon is lookin in
/opt/edg/var/spool/edg-wl-renewd to find the copy of the host key it needs.
Well it isn't there - the initialisation creates it in /tmp/proxyrenewal and
leaves it there. Not very bright of it!
Copying the proxy into /opt/..../edg-wl-renewd and restarting edg-wl-renewd
(service edg-wl-proxyrenewal stop ; service edg-wl-proxyrenewal start) seems
to shut it up.
This would appear to be a problem in the edg-wl-proxyrenewal script -
possibly caused by a local misconfiguration in the profiles, but more likely
just a bug in the start script.
Anyone else see this or have any comments?
Martin.
