I would like to use FLIRT for rigid-body alignment (dof=6) of two
256x256x256 anatomical volumes using a weighting volume as well. However,
every time I try, FLIRT "Segmentation Faults" during the optimizations. It
faults at different stages with different volumes. Everything works fine
with dof=7 or higher, and it works if I do not use a weighting volume.
I'm using FLIRT in combination with BrainVoyager, which only uses rigid-
body transformations and thus dof=6 would be optimal. Also, I'm using a
weighting volume because I'm aligning anatomicals acquired with a
posterior surface coil to full volumes and I want to weight the high-
contrast posterior portion of the volumes higher for calculating the cost.
Thanks!
