Dear All
There has been a flurry of HLF Your Heritage archive success projects in the
last year - and the scheme is till being pushed as a top priority for HLF
funding. So there has never been a better time to take your project
forward. In order to support you through the process I am organising a
couple of Your Heritage 1 day workshops - the first of which will be at the
Public Record Office, Kew on Thursday 18th February. Additional ones are
being planned for York and Edinburgh in March and April and exact dates for
these will follow shortly.
The purpose of the one day workshops is to help participants develop the
core structure of their application to the HLF and to offer practical
assistance in framing and presenting our projects in the best possible
light.
The workshop programme covers: Setting the project framework, demonstrating
need and demand , describing the heritage focus, demonstrating
organisational ability and project management, budgets and timetables and
defining measurable aims. At the end of the workshop participants will have
tackled all the questions requiring project validation on the application
form and should feel confident about completing it on their own.
The cost of the day is £25 per delegate - this includes the administration,
sandwich lunch and refreshments
Places are allocated on receipt of a completed registration form, which is
attached and also contains more information about the day. If anyone would
like to discuss their project or the workshops, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
