let me instead clarify my
incomprehensible letter.
Anatectic granite that comes from, say,
an Fe-rich amphibole, can react with
more Mg-rich amphibole. Rather than
melting it, the granitic liquid reacts
with the Mg-rich amphibole to produce,
by reactions that are principally
metamorphic, darker, metamorphic
leucosomes containing the minerals you
describe.
