Hi Mandy
Its not really a joke, but you are welcome to use a throwaway line I used
when I did schools workshops on the Solar System at the Royal Observatory in
Edinburgh.
I don't think its an original line, I think I probably got it from th
writings of the late Douglas Adams. Here it is:
You jump up into the air, and as you come down say something along the lines
of:
" Good stuff, gravity: its free, and they leave it switched on at the
weekends!"
I also like this 'Doctor' joke, but it may be a bit advanced for primary
school kids:
"Doctor, Doctor I feel really tired all the time and have terrible trouble
getting out of bed in the morning"
"Well, as soon as you wake up you must climb on top of your wardrobe"
Will this cure me, Doctor?
"I can't say, but it will increase your Potential Energy"
Audience groans loudly!
Hope this helps
