Yep, joy in the Spinozan sense would be the one.

I am still suffering from traumas induced when I decided I would get
with the 21st Century and use a what you see it what you get graphical
user interface application to mark up some poems in html. The mess the
bloody awful good for nothing useless bit of software made still has me
suffering from severe depression and denial every time I think about
fixing up the mess! Oh my god, oh my god! Can only a god save me now?
Actually, been playing with Quanta Plus, that came with Redhat 9. It
don't seem too bad, especially since I so rarely do html, I can't
remember the code and I dread now having to follow the changes into
xhtml or XML. All I need is simple text markup with some jpegs, nothing
fancy like cgi or php or whatever it is.
When it looked like I would have to write an academic thesis and I
couldn't find a database that I could use as a bibliographic
database with enough room for up to 500 words of notes or excerpts
I decided to modify a simple database written in C for my needs and
was going to submit it in raw source code output as part of the thesis
but before I got to even making this threat I was let off having to do
such a thing as an academic paper. (Even with six years of university
education I only ever wrote three standard academic essays, so I don't
do essays. Have I been understood!)
best wishes
