Dear John,
I love the ending of this poem. It seems as if the idyllic setting, the good
life (real or imagined) of this idealist speaker is gone, yet as the reader
realizes this you use the color of hope to show that hope is far from dead.
Excellent imagery and sounds here. I especially love "white days of almond
flower". Almost has a Zen quality.
