Allegro Training announces a range of specialist information and
management skills training courses to be offered in Ireland from 20-26
June.
We shall be offering the following courses
Friday 20 June - Limerick
* MARC21 - A guide to the MARC21 format
(This course has been very successful in a range of libraries, including
Trinity College, Dublin; the Glasgow College Libraries Group; and the
World Health Organization in Geneva)
Monday 23 June - Galway
* Stepping Forward - Training for Library Assistants
(Covers enquiry work and people skills)
(This course was successfully pioneered by Mayo County Library last
Autumn)
Tuesday 24 June - Galway
* Describing the impossible - Cataloguing music and
recordings
(One of our most popular courses - and the only music cataloguing
course we know of outside the US. It was susccessfully offered in
Ireland 3 years ago, and now returns following demand from Irish
Librarians)
Thursday 26 June - Limerick
* Managing Change
(A new course aimed at those responsible steering change through
their organization)
