**Wanted: Library Marketer - Blackwell Publishing**
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic marketer to join our busy Journal Sales Team in Oxford. The role will encompass the implementation of targeted marketing campaigns to support the growth of our library consortia sales globally. The successful candidate will be web savvy; have a good eye for design and copy writing flair; will be able to liaise with multiple departments and customers from different types of organisations; and will be able to undertake multiple campaigns, including e-marketing, direct mail, conferences, and advertising, from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
* Implementing library marketing plan, including targeted campaigns to the academic and special library markets, in core and new territories. Activities include researching appropriate lists, direct mail, e-marketing, conferences, telesales, welcome packs, promotional material, developing resources on the librarian's website, and sending out our bimonthly newsletter.
* Managing the budget for all aspects of the global library marketing plan, including setting the budget, gaining agreement with the rest of the team and delivering projects on time.
* Analysing promotional campaigns to identify sales results, best practice, recommend improvements, and communicate and act upon results in future.
* Generate and build relationships with internal stakeholders (marketing/sales/editorial/web staff) across all global offices to ensure overall marketing message is consistent with subject / society promotions.
* Writing creative and accurate copy which effectively communicates our message in a variety of mediums.
* Build and use the marketing contacts on our customer database.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to devise and deliver successful international marketing campaigns
* Demonstrated ability to analyse promotional activity and to identify improvements / market opportunities
* Enthusiasm, self-motivation, flexibility, good inter-personal skills
* Strong copywriting skills and high levels of accuracy
* General IT skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email and web skills)
* Educated to degree level
* Experience of the library market and/or journals publishing preferred
