Dear friends of the LCG-1 initial deployment,
on the July 16th I send a mail to all sites.
There is one new document that you should look at.
In the lcg1 module the document lcg1-notes.txt has been added.
Please read this document.
There is another thing that you can start doing. Those who
do the installation should sign the lcg usage guidelines and
register with the dteam VO. This will allow them to test
their installation.
You can find more information about registering here:
http://lcg-registrar.cern.ch/
I didn't get much feedback since the 16th.
Could you please send me the status of your deployment
efforts? Please use the following pattern in your reply.
I use CERN as an example. This should make the reporting easier.
Site: CERN
Checkout of the initial release from cvs: yes
Requested write access to my sites module: yes
Got the write access: yes
Checked in first changes: yes
Have a working LCFGng server: yes
Have started to install my nodes: yes
Have finished the following nodes: all
The following nodes are missing: none
Have setup the site status page: yes
I have updated the
site status page (since the 16th): no reason
I have registered or received a
registration mail for [log in to unmask]: yes
I have signed on to the IM: yes
I have registered with dteam VO: yes
I have problems with the following components: xxx
I can't participate in the current deployment
activities for the following reasons:
(something like: no time, no nodes, don't see why I should, no power...)
Again I put the generic site names and individuals in the CC.
I got only confiramtion from lyon that their generic site list is
monitored.
