Hi Santanu.
Apparently CVS does not like absolute paths. I am not a CVS expert
myself so I do not know the reason for this.
In any case this works for me:
(leonardi@adc0014) ~> cd /tmp
(leonardi@adc0014) /tmp> cvs checkout -r LCG1-1_1_1 -d LCG1-1_1_1 lcg1
cvs server: Updating LCG1-1_1_1
U LCG1-1_1_1/lcg1-notes.txt
cvs server: Updating LCG1-1_1_1/BDII
cvs server: Updating LCG1-1_1_1/rpmlist
U LCG1-1_1_1/rpmlist/Accounting-client-rpm.h
U LCG1-1_1_1/rpmlist/Accounting-server-rpm.h
....
As for access to this list, if you are installing the system for the
first time then you should refer to the first level of support, i.e. RAL
for you.
On the rollout list we post all announcements (new releases, security
updates, etc.) and discuss open or unusual problems. This means that you:
a) should read the messages posted here as they often contain
information which is relevant for all sites
b) are indeed welcome to participate to debates and problem discussions
The only reason we require new sites to go through the first level of
support is to keep the traffic on this list down to a manageable, and
thence useful for everybody, level. We have many new sites joining
(already 3 this week) and most of the problems they find while
installing are usually either well known or easily solvable by someone
with some previous experience of the LCG installation process.
Cheers
Emanuele
