Is a shark evil if it kills a man in the water?<
Well I guess that in respect of the shark one cannot ascribe moral
categories to it, it lives to be what it is, no more, whereas to the man in
the water the action would certainly seem to be an 'evil'. Pain is
something, for the most, we try to avoid, not that I, for instance, am not
capable of behaving in ways that cause me 'emotional' pain, but generally it
is a negative.
I do regard this world, this universe, as something of a cracked glass, and
poetry I feel is one way of trying to sing chaos back into order, to
re-unite the broken-apart.
