A few of you may know that in collaboration with the West Sussex Record Office, we have been developing a palaeography CD. Our webtracking indicates that connections have been made to the demo website from some ROs. The website is now very out-of-date by comparison with the CD, not least because there is a limit of 10 Mb on the website. The CD now runs to 24 Mb of material, with:
* improved navigation;
* improved interactivity; and
* more documents (in addition to the medieval ones supplied by WSRO, there are eleven early-modern documents).
The original purpose of the CD was for independent, learner-focused e-learning on our MA course, but we hope that we have expanded it sufficiently to make it useful for other constituencies. Richard Childs has kindly agreed that we may place a complimentary copy of the CD in any record office which may wish to have it - simply e-mail me ([log in to unmask]). As my production is 'cottage-based', please be patient with delivery.
Many thanks,
Dave Postles
