At the WP Managers meeting today the extra dev testbed in the UK was
discussed. Various issues were raised and resolved but there was no great
enthusiasm from WP2 to install their stuff on another testbed as they are
already installing it on their own demo testbed for the EU review. WP1 had
left after saying that the more RBs running the better as there was more
chance of finding errors. WP3 were supportive and WP4 said nothing although
their main issue is LCFGng which is being installed at CERN and so isn't
relevant.
So the summary is that it was left to the UK to create a testbed initially
for R-GMA. Once we are happy with R-GMA then we will revisit the rollout
plan and see what to install next. If WP2 find it clashes with their demo
preparation then WP5 will be ready.
One other issue that came up was that there is still a requirement for the
existing dev testbed to investigate MDS problems so the resources otuaside
CERN cannot be freed up for this extra dev testbed yet. RAL will review
whether we can run a new dev tb while the old one is still required.
