Hi Carol,
One of our paeds has prescribed it for one or two severely constipated
teenagers.
We ended up having to pass a NG tube (with permission from all parties) as
there was no way the kids were able to drink the amount needed for it to be
effective. The taste soon turns into a gagging experience. It did work when
used properly but then on a short term basis.
We don't have a protocol (the paed used this as a last resort ) but the
instructions are pretty clear.
